Francis Frazier

November 29, 1963 — February 26, 2024

On February 26, 2024, Francis Brennan Frazier, Jr., 60, closed his eyes here on earth and opened them in Heaven. Frank was born in Bennington, VT, on November 29, 1963, to Francis Brennen Frazier, Sr. and Barbara (Shippey) Roman. For years he attended school in Niskayuna and later at Mount Anthony Union High School. He also took classes at Southern Vermont College. When Frank was young, he worked for Dailey’s Concrete with his cousins. In the 1990s, he worked at AlliedSignal, Inc., and then he spent many years working at NSK Steering Systems, Bennington, VT. He was most recently employed as a production worker by General Electric in Rutland, VT. To say that Frank was an avid fisherman would be an understatement! He loved fishing… bass fishing… cat fishing… and ice fishing in his shanty on Lake Champlain! He was considered a semi-pro fisherman and competed in many Lake Champlain International fishing derbies. Over the years, he brought home many trophies as well as financial prizes from competitions. He also had a passion for hunting. Frank was predeceased by both of his parents, Francis Brennen Frazier, Sr. and Barbara (Shippey) Frazier Roman; an uncle, Mike Frazier; an aunt, Mary (Shippey) Webb; and an aunt, Diane (Shippey) Bolton. He is survived by a brother, Brendon Frazier; an aunt, Joan Young; a nephew, Brennan Frazier; and many cousins from the Bolton, Webb, and Young families, too many to list each one individually. He will be dearly missed by all of his family, friends, and coworkers; and he will be remembered for his love and devotion in caring for his mother and for his quiet nature and kind heart. A funeral mass to honor and celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 238 Main Street, Bennington, VT. A graveside service will follow immediately at Bennington Park Lawn Cemetery. All are welcome.
