Francis William Costantino

Francis William Costantino, 93 of Hoosick Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, at The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. Fran was born in Bennington, VT on November 7, 1930, the son of Vincent and Mabel (Bowen) Costantino. Francis was married to Madelyn “Johnnie” Grover. Francis worked for many years as a plumber and sprinkler fitter with UA Local 669 Road Sprinkler Fitters. Francis drove stock cars for a number of years at local tracks including State Line, Devils Bowl and the Fairgrounds. He would work on the cars during the week and race them on the weekend. He liked to hunt and fish and was a fan of NASCAR. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a member of the BPOE 567 in Bennington and a member of St. Stanislaw Society in Hoosick falls and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Bennington and the Polish Hall in Hoosick Falls, NY. Francis is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Madelyn Costantino of Hoosick Falls, NY, his children; Brenda (Don) DeLuca of Guilderland, NY, Michael Costantino of Bennington, VT, Robin (Matt Bleau) Costantino of Bennington, VT, Francine (Wade) White of Hyde Park, NY, Vincent Costantino of Hoosick Falls, NY, and Charles (Colleen) Costantino of Hoosick Falls, NY and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, VT. Burial will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday May 17, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM. If friends desire, contributions in Francis’ memory may be made to EC Fund for the Town of Hoosick Youth Sports through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington, VT 05201.
