Floyd Alfred Amidon

Floyd A. Amidon, Sr., 65, a resident of Bellows Falls, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on July 26th, 2023 in Worcester, Massachusetts Born on April 14th, 1958. He was the son of the late Marie and Floyd Amidon. Floyd was raised in upstate New York. On September 14th, 2013, he married the former Samantha Darrell at their home in Bellows Falls, Vermont. For many years, Floyd was a general contractor. He owned and operated his business Amidon Construction in Bennington, VT. Floyd was a former member of Elks Lodge #1619, Moose Lodge #527, American Legion Post #37, and Polish American Club, all of Bellows Falls, Vermont. Floyd enjoyed; carpentry, vehicles, cooking, hunting, westerns, and country music. Floyd was also an animal lover and loved to spend time with family and friends. Survivors of Floyd include; his wife Samantha Amidon. His children; Floyd Amidon Jr., Christina Carignan, Tonya Kinara, Kristal Weatherby, Diana Weatherby, Elizabeth Amidon, and Abraham Amidon. His brothers; Dale and Ricky Amidon. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Floyd is predeceased by two sisters; Gail Jones and Melissa Harrington. A celebration of life for Floyd will be held at a later date.
