Fay Lynn Morse, 44, a resident of Webb St. in Bennington died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Cambridge, NY on March 23, 1979. She was the daughter of Scott D. Verklas and Terrilyn (Keating) Woodard. Fay received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. She married Edward S. Morse Jr. on December 10, 2004. Fay was a volunteer at Sunrise Family Resources in Bennington where she later worked as a “Toddler Teacher” She most recently has been doing Respite Work. Fay was very family oriented. Fay’s grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed planning family trips, camping, fishing and shooting her gun. The love Fay and Bear shared over the last 20 years was a once in a lifetime kind of love, love that lasts forever; through the years together they shared everything. One thing Fay and Bear shared unfortunately was addiction. However, they also fought the addiction together and beat it. This was something Fay was proud of as it was a huge accomplishment for them. The last 10 years they have both lead a clean and sober life. This only made their love for one another stronger. Survivors include her children, Breonna Barber (Ryan Martin), Sierra Barber (Wesley Dow), Bradley Barber and Spencer Morse all of Bennington. Five grandchildren, Dusty Oliver III, Anthony Oliver, Brooklyn Barber, Adalynn Dow and Brayden Dow. Her mother, Terrilyn Woodard of Bennington. Her father, Scott Verklas of Knoxville, Tenn. Two sisters, Alisha Jones of Cambridge, NY and Michelle Johnson of Arlington. Her sister in laws, Kate Boardman, Bertha Fraker and Helen Decker. Her brother in laws, Derrick Boardman, Richard Morse and William Boardman. Along with many niecjes, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a son Anthony and two brothers, Michael and Tony Keating. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. If friends desire contributions in memory of Faye Lynn Morse may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
