Everett Samual Maxham Jr., 77, a resident of Airport Road South in Bennington passed away on Monday evening, March 4th, 2024. Everett was born on October 22nd, 1946 in Bennington to the late Everett Maxham Sr. and Nina Bourn. Everett received his early education in Bennington and graduated from Bennington High in 1964. He would later marry Ava Morse in Bennington on October 22nd, 1972. In his younger years, Everett worked in the Bennington College kitchen until his deteriorating health forced him into retirement. Everett was a member of the Vermont DAV Chapter 4, and the American Legion Post 13. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting scrap metal and processing it. Up until his death, Everett loved playing lottery tickets and watching old movies and TV shows. Everett is survived by his three sisters: Sharon Raymond, Claire McCaughey, and Edith Sheppard; his son Joey Grover; daughter Donna, his bonus daughter Marcie, and his friend Frank. Everett is predeceased by his brothers: Roger "Sam" Crandall, Bert Maxham, and Clifford Maxham; his sister Jennie Noyse; and his son Everett Maxham III. A graveside service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
