Ernest L. Wilkinson

He was born in Bennington, VT April 23, 1950. He was the son of the late Leonard and Megan (Crawford) Wilkinson.
He married the former Marta Sweet in1974.
In earlier years Ernest had been employed at The Hale Company in East Arlington, Marty Moore's Greenhouses in Bennington and most recently The Strohmaier Farm in Pownal.
He enjoyed fishing, hiking and gardening. His family and grandchildren were his main interest.
Survivors include his wife, Marta Wilkinson of Epsom, New Hampshire. His children, Amy Seidenberg and her husband Andrew of Epsom, N,H., Matthew Wilkinson of Bennington and Elizabeth Wilkinson of Essex Junction, VT. Eight grandchildren, Kanaan, Clover, Kenneth and Cole Gifford, Kody, Walker and Savannah Wilkinson and Amir Karim. His brothers and sisters, Gloria Moffitt (Charles), Walter Wilkinson, Stanley Wilkinson, George Wilkinson McCray (Kathy), Myron, Vernon and Ricky Wilkinson, Norma Crandall (George), April Mayer (Dale), and Gerald and Mark Wilkinson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Ernest's life will be held at the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington on Saturday November 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday November 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
