Our loving daughter Erin J Kennedy passed away on August 26, 2017 at the young age of 42. Erin was born on July 22, 1975.
Erin was a strong person in mind body and spirit. She was loving to her family, her friends and to animals of all kinds.
We lost her to breast cancer after a 10 year struggle.
She was born and grew up in upstate New York in the Scotia area. She moved with the family to Austell Georgia for two years, then on to Bennington VT. She graduated from MAUHS . She then went into nursing, graduating from Putnam Nursing School and Southern Vermont College.
For most of her career, she worked as an RN at St Mary's hospital in Troy NY. She ended her career at the Village Green in Cohoes.
Her final days were spent at Samaritan Hospital. She was surrounded by dozens of co-workers from nearby St Mary's Hospital whom now work at Samaritan hospital. The love and respect shown by those co-workers was comforting to Erin. Her family and friends were awed and supported from the love shown by those co-workers.
Erin leaves behind her mother and father, Jane and Ed Kennedy of Bennington.
Erin's is survived by her only sister, Kristin Kennedy of Woodford VT. Erin inspired her sister to follow her career footsteps. Kristin recently graduated as an LPN. Also surviving Erin are two nephews Jed and Sidney Perkins, both of Woodford VT. Also mourning her loss is her Uncle Kevin Millington and her nephew Kyle from the Albany area.
Erin also leaves behind her companion of many years, Don Conley of Bennington.
