Emily M. Lother, 96, a resident of Harwood Drive in Bennington, VT died Sunday March 6, 2022 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.
She was born in Arlington, VT May 11, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Earl Greene Sr. and Mary (Derry) Greene. She received her early education in Arlington and was a graduate of Burr & Burton Seminary in Manchester, VT.
She married Winston Lother January 19, 1950. Mr. Lother died February 19, 2002.
In earlier years Emily worked part time at Nichols Department Store in Bennington.
She enjoyed watching hockey and was a Boston Bruins fan. She loved to dance. Emily also enjoyed cooking, reading and watching the news.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Levin of Bennington. A son, Edward Lother (Paul) of Cohoes, NY A grandson, Walter Lother (Nikki) of Bennington, VT and a great granddaughter, Emma Lother of Bennington. She was pre-deceased by a son, Winston "Wink" Lother and a son-in-law, Sonny Levin.
At Emily's request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A graveside service will be held at the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
