Elizabeth Ann Eno, age 79, a resident of the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, and formerly of Ira, VT and recently of North Branch St. Bennington, died on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Vermont Veterans Home.
She was born in Fannie Allen Hospital in Colchester, VT and was the daughter of the late George and Sylvia (Wellinger) Isham. She received her education in Williston and Burlington, and was a graduate of Burlington High School.
She married Edward E. Eno on June 12, 1960 in Williston, VT. Mr. Eno survives.
In earlier years, Elizabeth was employed at New England Telephone Company and the Chittenden County Extension Services. Following their marriage, she and Edward worked at Smuggler's Notch, and the Groton State Forest. They later moved to Emerald Lake State Park, where they worked side by side until Edward retired from the Park Ranger Service after thirty-one years. Later Elizabeth worked as a Customer Service Representative for the Orvis Company in Manchester and the Vermont Country Store in Clarendon, VT, from which she retired.
Besides her husband, she is survived by children: George (Elaine) Eno of Charlottesville, VA, Glenn (Dianne) of Wallingford, VT, Sylvia (Edward) Gulley of Bennington, VT, and Susan (Brian) Clark of Rutland, VT. Her grandchildren and her brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 1:00PM
