Elizabeth C. Baker, 74, a resident of Lever Road, North Bennington, died Friday, July 30, 2021 at Crescent Manor Care Centers following a long illness.
Born in Bennington, Vermont October 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Georgianna (Bruso) Carter. Elizabeth received her education in the Bennington schools..
In earlier years Elizabeth had been employed at Thomson Manufacturing, the Salvation Army and National Hanger. She also owned and operated a second-hand shop. One of her favorite pastimes was watching television.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Hunt and her husband Scott of North Andover, MA, her former husband, Benjamin Baker of Fort Mills, SC, four grandchildren, Cynthia Hunt, Scott Hunt Jr., Ashley Baker and Benjamin Hammac; a sister, Beverly Durkee of North Bennington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Baker, and a brother, Frank Carter
The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. and then from St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington at 11:00 a.m, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
Burial will take place in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.
