Edward J. Silver

Edward J. Silver, 58, a resident of Grandview St. in Bennington died Friday March 31, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Bennington, VT October 27, 1964. He was the son of the late Edward and Lucille (Rousseau) Silver. Ed received his education in Bennington and was a 1983 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. In earlier years Ed was employed at the Publyk House Restaurant. He also worked at Catamount Glass and for the last 30 years was employed at the Bennington Elks Lodge, first as a bartender and most recently as the manager. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, playing golf, his jeep and four wheeling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially spending time with his daughter Shelby. Survivors include his daughter, Shelby Moody (Brian) of Fayetville, N.C. His fiancé, Brenda Whitman of Bennington. His sisters and brothers, Lisa Silver (James) of Bennington, Christopher Cranston of Woodford, Laurie Dwyer (Mark) of Union Hall, Virginia, Linda Dailey (Bill) of Colchester, VT, Donna Maloney (Dennis) of Bennington and Donald Cranston of California. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington on Thursday April 6, at 12:45 pm If friends desire contributions in memory of Edward J.
