BENNINGTON
Edward J. Krawczyk, 86, a resident of Dermody Road, Bennington, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
Born in Bennington on August 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Michael and Agnes (Bernat) Krawczyk. Ed received his education in the Bennington schools and was graduate of Bennington High School.
A Korean War veteran, Ed served in the U. S. Air Force during that time.
He was employed for over 40 years at Sprague Electric in North Adams, MA.
Ed was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the many times he spent hunting and fishing over the years with his nephew, Mike (Judy) Uryniak.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Krawczyk of Oregon, WI and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Mary Bolden, Jeanette Uryniak, Ann Klak, Helen Rogalski and Francis and Eugene Krawczyk.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 11:30 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the prayer service.
Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Should friends desire memorial contributions in Edward Krawczyk's memory may be made to the Activities Fund at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation, 160 Hospital Drive, Bennington.
