He was born on January 29, 1932 in Danbury, CT, to Edward Tomey and Madeline Hajj Tomey.
He was married to Norma Shagoury Tomey for 57 years who was the love of his life. After graduating high school, he attended Danbury State College where he majored in political science. He played Semi pro football for several years.
Edmund was President of Fuel Activator Chemicals of Danbury, CT before he retired and moved to Dorset, VT. His passion was music, singing, reading, and traveling. He enjoyed volunteering at Hildene and the food cupboard.
His support of those less fortunate was paramount in his life.
Funeral services were held at Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Manchester, VT.
