POWNAL, VT- Edith M. Guerrera, 86, a former resident of Pownal, VT died Monday April 25, 2022 at the Rivers Edge Community Care Home in Bennington following a brief illness.
She was born in Hartford, CT December 10, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Murray) Mazza.
In 1954 Edie began her banking career at the Connecticut Bank and Trust Company in Harford, CT. She worked her way up to bank manager. In 1992 she moved to Fort Myers, Florida. She eventually left Florida to return to her family in New England.
Edie was a lover of dogs and had several over the years.
Survivors include her nieces Joyce Caslin and her husband Rick of Bennington and Janet Lojzim of Enfield, CT. Edie was especially fond of her great nephews Stosh Caslin of Shaftsbury, Zachary Caslin and his wife Jenna and daughters Kyndra, Shealynn, and Finnleigh of Bennington, and Josh Lojzim and his wife Kristie of Bellerica, MA. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Evelyn Lathrop and Dorothy Czarnecki and a brother, Joseph Mazza.
A graveside service will be held at the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
