Donna Roberson

Donna Marie (Austin) Roberson, 75, a resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2023 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a long illness. Born on May 19th, 1948 In Cambridge, New York, she was the daughter of the late James Austin and Catherine (Weber) Potter. She received her early education and later graduated from the Cambridge Central School. On December 15th, 1985 she married Eugene Roberson in Petersburg, New York. Together they shared over 37 years together. Donna was a waitress at many local establishments including Benson’s in Eagle Bridge, NY, Friendly’s in Manchester, Vermont, and Vermont Steak House in Bennington. In retirement, she was a gardener for Callaert Construction and Landscaping. In her spare time, Donna loved gardening for herself as she enjoyed flowers and hummingbirds. Eugene and her spent their summers at Lake Lauderdale Campground in Cambridge, she enjoyed lots of activities there like playing cards. However, most of all, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with those she loved so much, that she was known for her parties and gatherings. Survivors include her husband Eugene Roberson. Her children; Deborah Rice (Brian), Allyson Jasmin (Michel), Wendy Callaert (Kristopher), and Adam Jones (Lietzsey Kennerly). Her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. As well as, her Lake Lauderdale Campground Family. Donna was predeceased by a brother; James “Butch” Austin Jr. A stepson; Randy Roberson. As well as a stepfather; Forest Potter. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday June 24th, 2023 at Site #13 in Lake Lauderdale Campground.
