Donna Lee Maroney (Berry)

BENNINGTON- Donna Lee Berry Maroney, 71, A resident of North Branch Street in Bennington. Passed away on November 24, 2021 at The Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington following a brief illness.

Born in Bennington on October 8, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Martha (Pratt) and Walter Berry. She received her education in Bennington, and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School. She later attended Johnson State University. On October 20, 1973, Donna married her husband William Maroney.

Donna was a lifelong volunteer, spending her time helping out at the Vermont Veterans home, the Kitchen Cupboard food shelf, the Bennington Free Clinic as well as being a board member for Bennington Project Independence. She was also very involved with St. Peters Church in Bennington, as well as the village clerk for Old Bennington for 48 years. Donna also had a lifelong interest in Genealogy and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

Survivors of Donna include her sister Kathleen Kaiser of Bennington. Her nieces, Sharron and Laura Kaiser of Bennington. A nephew, William "Billy" Kaiser and his wife Nancy of Campbell, California. A great niece Perri Jane Kaiser and a great nephew Colin Kaiser, of Campbell, California. Two aunts, Marjorie Lampron of Bennington and Ethel Pratt of Branson, Missouri. Donna is also survived by several cousins.

Donna is predeceased by her husband William Maroney and her sister Arlene Berry.

At Donna's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
