Diane R. Becker (Russell)

Diane was born in Bennington on May 26, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Leland H. and Elizabeth (Mylott) Russell. She received her education at St. Francis De Sales School, Bennington Catholic and Bennington High School.
She married Roland Ralph Becker in 1966. He died on May 22, 2013.
Diane had been employed at Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington as a Laundry Aide. Previously she had been employed at Thompson Manufacturing and Vermont Linens. Diane enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and playing BINGO.
Survivors include two daughters: Tabitha Ann Brown (Michael Lang) of Northford, CT and Wendy Lou Becker of Bennington, VT and her two sons; Roland James Becker of Bennington, and Scott Michael (Kristin) Becker of Hoosick Falls, NY. She leaves eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Diane is also survived by one brother, Leland Russell and one sister; Virginia (Adrian) Niesz, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers; Steven Russell, Andrew Russell and Robert Russell and her sisters: Carolyn Harrington and Elizabeth Mason.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2018 at 4:00PM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington. Interment will follow in the White Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Education at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
