Diana Soto, age 57, a resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed peacefully on April 2, 2019 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Diana was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 23, 1962 and was the daughter of the late Ulpiano Soto-Mendez and Luz Palmira Garcia-Figueroa who resides in Puerto Rico. Diana received her Bachelors Degree from Inter America University in Puerto Rico and her Masters Degree in Burlington, Vermont.
For many years, Diana was employed by United Counseling Services in Bennington as a Clinician.
Diana was the sweetest, loving, genuinely caring person, who gave support, strength, happiness to all. She is survived by her loving mother, her niece and nephews who loved her like a mom, Christine, Hugo and his wife Jamie, and John. She leaves her great nephew; Denny, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Daisy and Neftale. Her close friend, Tim Baldic and his family who looked after Diana for many years, as well as many other family and friends. She will be missed. It was a privilege and honor to have had her in our lives.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street in Bennington, VT on Saturday, April 13 from 2PM until 5PM. Funeral services will take place privately by her family.
