Devon Michael Jamieson, 26 of Sunderland, VT died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on July 6, 2023. Devon was born in Bennington, VT on March 25, 1997, the son of Michael and Bonnie (Burgess) Jamieson. He received his education at Sunderland Elementary School and then onto Arlington Memorial High School where he graduated in 2016. Devon was a lover of animals, especially his dogs and cats. He was an avid reader and volunteered at the Martha Canfield Library in Arlington. Devon was a huge fan of Bluegrass music and his ability and love for playing the spoons got him called on stage to perform with various bands. He was very proud of his podcast, “Devon’s Bluegrass and American Roots Show.” Devon was an excellent writer and was planning on writing his memoir someday. Devon was an office assistant at the Town of Manchester offices. Devon is survived by his parents, Michael and Bonnie (Burgess) Jamieson of Sunderland, his paternal grandparents, Jack (& MaryLou) Jamieson of Shaftsbury, VT, his maternal grandparents, Edward ( & Christine) Burgess of Belmont, a very special cousin, Justin Burgess, who was more like a brother to Devon,; aunts and uncles;, Tyler Burgess (& Cindy) of Whitesboro, TX, Dan (& Laura) Jamieson of Springtown, TX and Diana (& Jason) King of Barre, VT and several cousins. Devon was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Burgess and paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Cole. Funeral services for Devon will be held on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the East Arlington Federated Church.
