Dennis M. Pleasant (Pleasant)

March 20, 1963 — August 18, 2018

Dennis M. Pleasant, 55, an avid fisherman died peacefully August 18, 2018 after a long illness.

He was born in Waterbury, CT March 20, 1963. He was the son of the late Edward Pleasant and Judith Adams.

Dennis spent his childhood years in Southbury, CT before moving to Vermont. After attending high school, Dennis moved back to Connecticut where he met and married his wife the former Linda (Karako) on February 14, 2008.He became a proud step father to her daughter Emily, whom he raised and loved like his own. After many years of living in various towns in Connecticut, he returned back to his old stomping grounds in Vermont with his family.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Linda and step daughter Emily Jefferson of Bennington. His siblings, Garry Pleasant and his wife Gail of Moosup, CT, Ronald Pleasant and his wife Suzanne of Watertown, CT, David Pleasant and his wife Diane of Thomastown, CT, his twin sister Deborah Stratton and her husband Tony of Bennington and Keith Pleasant and his wife Torrey of Readsboro, VT. And many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was pre-deceased by his parents, a brother Leroy Pleasant and a niece Aimee Pleasant.

A memorial service will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday August 25, at 6:00 p.m.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.
