Debra L. Bruneau, 55, a resident of County Street in Bennington, VT died Tuesday December 15, 2020 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born in Bennington, VT August 30, 1965. She was the daughter of Gerald T. Moon and Barbara (Trombley) Moon. Deb received her education in Bennington and was a 1983 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. She later graduated from Vermont Technical College
as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She married Rene Bruneau on July 23, 2017.
For 14 years Deb was employed at BPI in Bennington. She also worked at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation Center and Prospect Nursing Home. She loved being a nurse and helping people.
In earlier years she practiced Buddhism. She loved the outdoors, hiking, biking and snow shoeing. Deb had a love of animals, especially cats. She worked at the Second Chance Animal Shelter for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Rene Bruneau of Bennington. A son, Jake Murphy of Bennington. A daughter, Katherine Bruneau of Bennington. Her father and step mother, Gerald and Patricia Moon of Bennington. Her sister, Stacy Meehan of Bennington and two nephews, Nicholas Meehan and Austin Morey and a niece, Richelle Meehan along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services for Debra will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
