Dawn Marie Guerard, 62, resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away on February 8, 2025 following a brief illness.
Dawn was born on May 2, 1962 to Roger and Nancy Livingston. She received her education at Mount Anthony Union High School, and would later go on to work for the Green Mountain Express as a driver. Dawn would eventually meet the love of her life, Phillip Guerard, and they would marry on May 5, 2018.
Dawn was devoted to her family and especially her children. She certainly knew how to have a good time – and enjoyed bowling, going to the lake, being outdoors, and playing cards – most namely, a game of Pitch. She loved to take trips to Atlantic City and Hampton Beach. Dawn was a proud Auxiliary Member of the American Legion. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Guerard. Her children: Amy Coltur (Ed), Mike Julius, Matt Julius (Cassie), Amanda Reed (Bryan), and Nicole Henderson. Her grandchildren: Colton Reed, Brodie Julius, Trevett Julius, Anthony Julius, Karissa Julius, and step-granddaughter Miranda. Her siblings: Shirley Miller, Roger Livingston Jr. (Anna), and Robin LaFountain (John). Sisters-in-law: Terry Bourque, Bertha King, Ruby Julius, and Lisa Sloan. Brother-in-law, Paul Julius. Her mother-in-law, Joyce Guerard. Her aunts: Teresa Livingston, and Ann Trombley. Nieces and nephews: Naomie June Julius-Paige, Allison King, Holly Wright, Brandi and John LaFountain, Jonathan Livingston, Allison Passage, Brandon Livingston, Andy Adam Josh Hall, and Paul John Julius.
Dawn is predeceased by her parents – Roger and Nancy, as well as her first husband, Mike Julius. She is also predeceased by her brother, Edward Charles Knapp.
A time for visitation will be held on February 13, 2025 at Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 11:00 – 12:30 pm. A memorial service will follow at the conclusion of calling hours. A burial for Dawn will be held at a later date in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made through the offices at Mahar Funeral Home - 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201, to assist with funeral expenses.
