David Coleman Mason

He was born at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington on December 7, 1941. He was the son of the late A. Coleman Mason and Rachel (Fowler) Mason. David received his early education in Pownal and was a graduate of Hoosick Falls High School.
He married the former Paula (Schmigel) on June 26, 1965 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hoosick Falls, NY.
For seventeen years David worked as a farmer and for many years has worked as a contractor with HosCot Builders.
A true family man, David adored his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and working in his wood working shop.
Survivors include his wife Paula Mason of Pownal, VT. His daughters, Denee Facto (Don), Marie Walk (Lance) both of Bennington and Kelli Mason and Dave Hovanec of Westtown, NY. Four grandchildren, Tyson Facto (Jessica), Corby Facto (Jennifer), Samuel Walk and Joselyn Walk. Five great grandchildren, Owen, Caden, Spencer and Sophia Facto and Evelyn Walk. Three sisters, Doris Cottrell (Sam) of Pownal, VT Connie Krawczyk (Charles) of North Hoosick, NY and Terri Clark (Fred Miller) of Oakland, Maine. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a sister Joyce Mason and a nephew Kenneth Cottrell.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday July 25, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday July 26, at 10:00 a.m.
The burial will take place in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.
