David Alan Martin

David Alan Martin, Sr., 70, of Arlington, VT, passed away unexpectedly at his home. David was born in Bennington, VT on September 19, 1952, the son of Donald and Luella (Dorman) Martin. David was a big collector of guns and knives. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and old car. David was also a big jokester. David is survived by his children; David A, Martin, Jr., of Hoosick Falls, NY, Terry Martin of Bennington, VT, Sarah Martin of Bennington, VT and Laura Martin of Shaftsbury, VT; his mother; Luella Crawford of Bennington, VT, his companion, Cindy Shand of Arlington, VT, his former wife; Donna Sweet of Connecticut, his grandchildren; Kelsey Hurley, Cody English, Nicholas Martin, Shawn Martin, Ryan Martin, Shania Martin, Kristen martin, Ashley Martin, Kaylee Wellspeak, Kyle Wellspeak, Eric Raker and Serenity Raker, numerous great grandchildren including his very special great granddaughter, Sophia Hurley, his brothers; Andy Martin and Sam Martin and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Martin, his infant sister, Donna Lee Martin and his grandmother who raised him, Doris Dorman. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday June 17, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Willow Road Fire Department.
