Darren M. Boardman Sr., 54, a resident of White River Junction died unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2020 at his residence.
Born in Bennington on March 27, 1966 he was the son of the late Edward and Marjorie (Hulett) Morse. Darren received his education in the Rochester schools.
Darren previously worked as a tree arborist and also in various mechanical shops.
Darren will always be remembered for his sense of humor, the love he had for his family, especially his children. His passions included drawing, his pets, snowmobiles, old cars and hot rods, fishing, watching old western movies and watching and participating in drag racing.
Survivors include six children, Trista (Scott) Cutting of Granville, VT, Darren Boardman Jr. of Rutland, Desiree Boardman (Andrew Stringer) of Rochester, Cheyenne Boardman (Ricky Dailey) of Randolph, Kassandra Boardman of Rutland, Phanthea Boardman (Jacob Lanfear) of North Clarendon; his life-long love, Melissa Boardman of Rutland; five grandchildren, Mallory, Aaliyah, Brody, Aiden and Aurora; nine brothers and sisters, Darsee Morse (Randy Hathaway) of Bradford, Terrie Hogan of Union, SC, Derryck Boardman, Richard Morse, William Boardman (Shelly), Edward Morse Jr (Fay), Catherine Boardman, Bertha Fraker and Helen Decker (Raymond), all of Bennington and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life for Darren's life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at 144 Hurley Lane in Bennington.
