Darlene Annette Palmer, 64, a resident of School Street in Bennington, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.
Darlene was born on May 1, 1956 in Cambridge, New Yirk and was the daughter of the late Darwin Z. and Patricia (Watters) Bentley, Sr. She received her education in local schools. She is the widow of Hawrd "Butch" Palmer, who died on July 2, 2019. For many years Darlene had been employed as a Private Duty Nurses Aide. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her four children: Stephan Palmer of Bennington, Steven Palmer of Middleburg, VT, Derrick Palmer of Rutland, VT and Tanya Rowe of Pownal, VT. She leaves several grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Darlene has two sisters; Cindy Marcoux and Shari Bevins, both of Bennington. She is predeceased by three brothers; Scott Bentley, Darwin Z. Bentley, Jr. and Grant G. Bentley, Sr.
Due to the COVID-!( protocols, the family will be having private services on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
