Daniel Michael Reed

Daniel Michael Reed 68, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, on April 25th, 2024. Born on November 7th, 1955, in Rumford, Maine. He was the son of the late, Ellsworth and Beatrice (Hinckley) Reed. Daniel was raised and received his really education in Maine. Daniel was a custodian at the Vermont veterans home in Bennington for 16 years and in earlier years worked at Mt. Snow Resort in West Dover, Vermont. In 2000, Daniel married the former Paula Martone. Paula passed away in 2016. Daniel served in the United States Marine Corps, Army, and Army National Guard. He was deployed to Kuwait from 2004 till 2005 during operation enduring freedom. Daniel was enjoyed observing eagles, taking walks, as well as, chatting and catching up with people. Survivors include his sons; Al Reed (Savannah), David McGuire, and Bryan Reed (Amanda). His grandchildren; Aubrey Reed, Phalyn Lewis, EJ Twig, and Colton Reed. As well as Jackie Hart who was like a daughter to Daniel.
