Cynthia P. A. Stiles-McCabe, 80, formerly of Peabody, MA and Bennington, VT, died on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where she has been a resident for several years. She was born in Salem, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Ralph Stiles and Elizabeth (Perry) Stiles. Cindy was raised and went to high school in Peabody, Massachusetts and later in life completed high school and then attended college at Florida Community College, where she received her associate's degree with honors and was honorary Phi Beta Kappa in computer services. She was also a Daughter of the American Revolution. In earlier years, Cindy was employed as a waitress, bank clerk and data entry clerk both in Massachusetts and Florida. She was also a gifted high soprano and sang with many groups, including the Billy Graham Choir. She enjoyed collecting items and had a true love of all owls and dragons and had a vast collection of apples. She was quite a talented artist and enjoyed many arts and crafts in her spare time. She was also a voracious reader. Survivors include her sister, Donnalee Stiles-Wells and her husband, John of Davenport, Florida; her children; Lorrie Polly and her husband, Robert of Pownal, VT, Christopher Galenus of Bennington, VT and Brenda Fox Tree and her husband Walter of Marlborough, NH, along with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
