Born to Lloyd and Shirley Strait in Berlin, NY on February 23, 1951.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Dewey, sister Joanne Riccardi, her children Kyle & David Jansen, Jill Rivers and Brad Dewey as well as 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Lloyd Strait, Jr.
Colleen practiced as a registered nurse for 49 years, as she loved and cared for so many with her empathetic heart, glowing smile and sense of humor. Her family and friends were her passion and delight. She was loved, cherished and admired by all.
Calling hours will be held on December 28 from 11-1 at E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington, VT.
A private service will be held with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
