Clifford J. Kirkpatrick

December 7, 1938 — November 13, 2018

Clifford J. Kirkpatrick, 79, a resident of Buck Hill Road in Shaftsbury, VT died Tuesday November 13, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born in Bennington, VT December 7, 1938. He was the son of the late Clifton and Agnes (Warren) Kirkpatrick. He received his education in Bennington. Clifford served in the United States Air Force and later served in the Air National Guard for 27 years.

He married the former Sandra Gates on April 30, 1960 in Bennington.

For 27 years Clifford worked at the Union Carbide Corporation and later Eveready. Following his retirement, he delivered parts for NAPA and Advanced Auto.

Clifford enjoyed hiking, fishing, boating, camping and playing golf.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sandra Kirkpatrick of Shaftsbury, VT, Three children, William Kirkpatrick and his wife Carol of Orwell, VT, Donna Alderman and her husband John of Northport, Florida and Gail Kirkpatrick of Shaftsbury, VT. Four grandchildren, Bryan Alderman and Jake (Casey) Alderman of Northport, Florida, Joe Murphy (Abigail) of Shoreham, VT and Kalee Murphy (Clifton Brown) of Shoreham, VT. A great granddaughter Raegan Brown of Shoreham and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a brother James Kirkpatrick.

A graveside service will be held at the family lot at Center Shaftsbury Cemetery in Shaftsbury, VT at the convenience of the family.
