Cindy Levitte

September 25, 1946 — October 10, 2024

Cindy Jean (Senecal) Levitte, 78, passed away on October 10, 2024 after a long illness.

She was born on September 25, 1946 and was the daughter of Earl and Flavian (Pinsonneault) Senecal. She was educated in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. She married Samuel Levitte on June 2, 1979. Sam passed away on June 9, 2016.

Cindy was a member of the Bennington Rescue Squad for more than 30 years. She worked at various jobs in Bennington including the Dialysis Unit at SVMC, from which she retired. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, clogging, playing her ukulele and family gatherings. She and Sam enjoyed spending their winter months in their condo in Hawaii. She also enjoyed singing and was a member of the choir at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church.

Cindy is survived by her brother, Steven J. Senecal and his wife, Wanda, of Cape Vincent, NY in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam, her parents, and a sister, Beverly (Senecal) Jepson.

The funeral will be held at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church on Friday, October 18 at 12:00 pm. Calling hours will be held at Mahar Funeral Home located at 628 Main Street in Bennington on Thursday, October 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery.
