Cheryl was born on December 22, 1944 to the late Herbert and Earline Ware in Shaftsbury. She was one of two children. Cheryl received her education at the North Bennington High School, and graduated in 1962. She later attended Thompson’s School of Nursing in Brattleboro, Vermont – earning her degree to become a licensed practical nurse; a career that she worked in throughout her life. It wasn’t long after graduating that she married the love of her life, Robert Loomis on June 6, 1964. They were married for 61 years, and raised three children.
Cheryl primarily worked at the Putnam Hospital (now known as Southwestern Vermont Medical Center) in Bennington as an LPN. When she wasn’t working, Cheryl took much pride in being a homemaker and raising her children. She was an amazing knitter, and even sewed and crocheted. Cheryl loved to bake all kinds of recipes for her family and friends. She was an outdoor lover, but also liked to take the time inside to put together puzzles and was an avid reader. Something that brought her a lot of joy was shopping with her friends, and visiting family.

Stevens and her husband Michael. Grandchildren: Karen Squire and her husband Timothy, Christopher M. Loomis, Robert F. Davis, William “Billy” Davis, Esq., Rebecca Davis, Ryan M. Stevens, and Jonah M. Stevens. Her great-grandchild, Mia Chellis-Loomis. A brother, Roy Robert Ware. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
