On May 12th, 1947, Charles Toro, Jr., a Brooklyn born, Staten Island, NY native was the proud son to Charles Toro Sr. (deceased) and Monserrate Ghigliotty (Toro). He was also the beloved older brother to Mary Ann
Gaddis, Jeanette Linnehan and Cynthia Chinnici. He was a proud Navy veteran who served during the Viet Nam War; and in his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, watching movies and spending time with his family and
friends. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Gloria Toro, his 3 children: Kim McCart, Sandy Stevens, and Charles Toro, his 14 grandchildren: Jasmin, Vanessa, Alexya, Atrael, Romeo, Oleviya, Willow, Stephaney, AJ,
Malikie, Destiny, Alex, Lorenzo, and Emilio, and his 11 great grandchildren: Kaziah, Xian, Zaeveri, Daniel, Layla, Jakob, Nina, Gabryl, Hunter, Carter and Bryer. Those he also held close to his heart are his sonin-
law Dwaine Stevens, Adam, Henry, Rahnel, Erica, and Kathi, and his dear friends Eddie Diaz and Arnold Pack. A friend to everyone, Charles Toro, Jr. was a retired resident of Bennington, Vermont at the time of his
passing on Sunday March 24th, 2019. He was 71.
A Prayer Service will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Saturday, March 30, at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Death and Burial at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. Burial will take place in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY, on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11:30AM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday March 29, 2019 from 5-9PM.
