Charles Edward Tobin

Charles Edward Tobin, 79, of Arlington, Vermont passed away at the Vermont Veterans Home on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from cancer. Charles was born on October 19, 1943 to Virginia Baker and Donald Tobin Sr. in Hartford, Connecticut. After school he joined the military and served until medically released, which will allow him to receive his military honors. His favorite job was working with Robert Jones as a sheet metal fabricator kickstarting many years in that career. Charles enjoyed Elvis Presley music collecting Steins and Eagles and making candles. He leaves behind two children; Bonnie Hunter of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Kevin Hayes of Arlington, VT. His two grandchildren; Jessica and Jared Hunter of Rock Hill, SC. His three siblings Richard Tobin of Rutland, VT, Linda Lafountain of Arlington, VT, and John Colvin of Groton, VT. Charles was predeceased by three brothers; George Colvin, Donald Tobin Jr., and Robert Tobin. A sister; Priscilla Lafountain. His father; Donald Tobin Sr. who died in Europe during World War II. As well as, His mother and stepfather Virginia and Robert Miller. His family and friends will gather to honor and lay him to rest on October 20 at 11 AM at the Vermont Veterans Home Cemetery in Bennington.
