Caroline J. Greene

Born in Bennington, Vermont November 10, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Florence (Hill) Colliano. She received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of the former Bennington High School class of 1953.
In earlier years Mrs. Greene was employed in the office of Cushman Manufacturing and later at Union Carbide Corporation where she worked for thirty-four years until her retirement in 1998.
Mrs. Greene enjoyed traveling. She traveled throughout Europe and she especially enjoyed Italy and England.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard B. and Cynthia Gauthier of Shaftsbury; a daughter and son-in-law, Tara and John LeRay of Bennington and a daughter Tracy Greene of Bennington; five grandchildren, Christopher Gauthier, Olivia and Johnny LeRay, and Cole and Colin Eldred; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally and John Gould of Williamstown, MA; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Greene was pre-deceased by two sons, Nicholas R. Gauthier in 1980 and Mark S. Gauthier in 1954 and a sister, Susan Colliano.
The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.
At the request of Mrs. Greene there will be no calling hours.
Burial will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery.
