Candace L. "Candy" Patience, 64, a former resident of Union Street in Bennington, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington following a long illness.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA on November 18, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Rodney F. Rawling Sr. and Winifred (Scanlin) Rawling. Candace received her education in the Pittsfield schools.
In earlier years Candace was employed at United Counseling Service in Bennington. She later worked for fourteen years in the nursing department at the Vermont Veterans Home.
Her favorite pastime was reading.
Survivors include a son, Travis Nutbrown and his wife Melissa, of Rutland, VT; two grandchildren, Zackary Nutbrown of Rutland, VT and Nick Strout of Pittsfield, MA; two step grandchildren, Savanna and Lenny Chaplin a sister, Autumn Wadsworth of Salem, NY and a brother Rodney Rawling of Pownal; four nieces, Winifred Rose of Bennington, Stephanie Wadsworth of Bennington, Eliza Wadsworth of New York and Shelbi Kinney of Bennington, two nephews, William Rose of Brattleboro and Conner Rawling of Pownal along with several great nieces and great nephews.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday, June 18th, from 5 to 7pm.
