BURTON (BURT/BUD) JAMES SNOW, JR, 83, of East Arlington, VT, passed away December 9, 2020 at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Hudson, NY on March 21, 1937, son of the late Burton and Clara Evelyn Snow, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Sue Snow, sister Marilyn and brother Wayne and grandson Randy Blair.
Burton is survived by his wife of 59 years Sherrill Sue Fogt Snow, daughter Liana Johnson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, sons Russell and Bradford Snow of East Arlington, Vermont, Mark Snow of Hilliard, Ohio and Burton III and wife Barbara of Bennington, Vermont, grandchildren Sinclair of Mesa, AZ, Sonya of East Arlington, Vermont and Bailey Snow of Hilliard, Ohio, Tiffany and Mathew Gaghich of Hoosick Falls, NY, and great grandson Samuel of Hoosick Falls, NY, sisters Janice Gordon and Sharon Haynes and brothers Ronald and Larry Snow, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Burton graduated from Arlington Memorial High School class of 1955. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Airforce where he met his wife Sherrill of Bellefontaine, Ohio and married on May 5,1961. Upon moving back to his hometown, he worked as a carpenter for Clyde Dunlap, followed by Theodore Hogt, followed by running and operating Vermont Creations.
Burton never retired from his craftmanship. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his tractor.
