Bruce Alan Burbee, 61, a resident of Park Street in Bennington died Tuesday September 18, 2018 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
He was born in Portland, Maine February 11, 1957. He was the son of the late Loomis and Patricia Burbee.
He married the former Pearl Crandall in Bennington, VT on November 7, 1991.
In earlier years Bruce was employed as a truck driver at Fairdale Farms in Bennington and TAM in Shaftsbury. He later worked at United Counseling Service and most recently at the Bennington Banner.
Bruce enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved working on cars, going to the zoo, and being with his grandchildren. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with Pearl, the love of his life.
He will be sorely missed by all who got to know him. This kind soul will be missed the most by his wife Pearl Burbee of Bennington, his children, Willard Barber of Columbus, Ohio, Raymond Barber, David Barber, Kristie Barber, Kurtis Barber as well as his 14 grandchildren, all of Bennington. He will also be missed by his siblings Fran Rand and Steve Burbee.
Those who loved him most know that although we will miss him, he is in a better place with his Mother, Father, Sister Wanda and unborn child, Bruce Alden.
The service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
