Brenda Jean Brown

Brenda Jean Whitman, 58, of Bennington, VT passed away on August 11, 2023. She was the daughter of Gordon and Catherine Whitman. She received her education at Mount Anthony Union High School and later received her LNA license and was a caregiver for many years. Brenda touched many people with her love and compassion through the years. Brenda enjoyed being with her family and friends and spending time with her French Bulldog, Izzie. She also loved to get in her car and drive to different destinations and meet new people. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of Brenda. Her free spirit, bright smile and big heart left us too soon, but we will remember her love, generosity and sense of humor. Brenda is survived by her son, Douglas Hyman; her grandson, Simon Cummings; her parents, Gordon and Catherine Whitman; her siblings, Valerie Whitman, Gail Buell, Melinda Whitman, Charles Whitman, Curtis Whitman, Craig Whitman and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Abbie Lynn Poirier. There will be no services held for Brenda at this time.
