She was born in Bennington, VT July 29, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Loretta (Gratton) Shippey. Barbara received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School.
In earlier years Barbara was employed by New England Tel. and Tel.. She later worked at the switchboard at the Equinox Hotel in Manchester.
Barbara was a member of Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. She enjoyed poetry and painting.
Survivors include her son Francis B. Frazier Jr. of Bennington; Two sisters, Joan Young of Arlington, VT and Mary Webb of Shaftsbury, VT along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Dianne Bolton-Shippey.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday May 27 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A prayer service will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church at 11:30 a.m.
The burial will follow at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
