Barbara May Guerrieri, age 94, a resident of the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation of Bennington, and formerly of Jennings Drive in Bennington, died on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2021.
She was born in Bennington on February 28, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Carey) Robinson. Barbara received her education in North Bennington and is a graduate of North Bennington High School. Following high school she attended and graduated from the Henry Bishop, III, Memorial School of Nursing in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. For many years, she had been employed at the Pittsfield General Hospital in Pittsfield, currently, Berkshire Medical Center.
She married Dr. Antonio Guerrieri on August 6, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington. Dr. Guerrieri has predeceased her.
Barbara enjoyed snowmobiling, ceramics, reading and doing cross word puzzles. She was an avid collector of cups and saucers.
Barbara is survived by two sons: Antonio "Gary" Guerrieri and his wife Josephine of Grand Isle, Vermont and David Guerrieri and his wife Margaret, of Gansevoort, New York. She leaves one grandson; Alexander Coburn Guerrieri.
At Barbara's request there will not be any calling hours or services. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
