Barbara L. Brace, 64, a resident of North Street in Bennington died unexpectedly on Friday March 31, 2017 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
She was born in Bennington, Vermont April 23, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Roselda (Cumm) Harrington. Barbara received her education at Saint Francis de Sales Academy and was a 1970 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.
In earlier years Barbara worked as a curator at the Bennington Monument. She later worked at Crescent Manor Nursing Home as a nurses' aide and at Jards in Bennington!
She loved her dog "Tiny".
Survivors include her children, Robert K. Brace of Temecula, California and his wife Melissa, Thressa Brace- Baker of Pownal and her husband Matt and Kari Brace of Bennington; two sisters, Judith Greenawalt and her husband Ralph of North Pownal and Patricia Kearns and her husband Thomas of Bennington. Seven grandchildren Noah Brace, Adam Brace and Emma Brace of Temecula,California and Samantha Brace-Baker, Rachael Brace-Baker, Jonathan Brace-Baker and Michael Brace of Pownal! She also has six nieces and nephews, Amie Murray, Kaitlyn Hunt, Shauna Goupil, Patrick Kearns, T.J. Greenawalt and Paul Greenawalt. A great niece Elizabeth Greenawalt and great nephew Lyndon Hunt also survive!
The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday April 10, at 4:00 p.m.
The burial will follow in the family lot at White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington.
