Ava Maria Maxham (Morse)

She was born in Bennington on July 1, 1946 and was the daughter of Richard Francis and Helen Pauline (Gates) Morse. She received her education in local schools. Ava married Everett in Bennington, he survives.
Ava enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, crocheting, and watching western movies. She had a very cheerful personality. She was a member of the DAV also.
Survivors besides her husband include her children: Donna Morse Belville of North Adams, MA, Robin Thompson of New York, Joey Grover of Bennington, VT, and her caregiver, Martha "Marcie" Sargent-Harrington of Bennington.
She has twenty-four grandchildren, two sisters: Margaret "Peg" Tetor of South Carolina, and Rita Gates of South Carolina, as well as two brothers: Patrick "Pete" Morse of Bennington, and Donald Morse of Bennington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She leaves her special friend "Pookie".
Ava is predeceased by seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington at 1:00 PM.
Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
