SHAFTSBURY

Arlene F. Brillon, 71, a resident of Twitchell Hill Road, Shaftsbury, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born in Bennington on November 22, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Flora (Snow) Gallett. Arlene received her education in the Bennington schools and was a graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.

Arlene married Gerald F. Brillon on January 31, 1970 in Shaftsbury.

Arlene was first employed at the Polygraphic Company in North Bennington and later at Stanley Tool Company in Shaftsbury for many years. Her last position was at the Orvis Company where she remained until the time of her retirement.

Her favorite pastimes were quilting, sewing, and watching the many hummingbirds that she lured to her yard.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald F. Brillon of Shaftsbury; two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Jaci Brillon and Jeffery and Audrey Brillon and three grandchildren, Ryan, Stephen and R.J., all of Bennington; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Marilyn Gallett of White Creek, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Arlene's request private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
