Antoinette German (Greeno)

HOOSICK FALLS, NY- Antoinette "Toni" German, 86, a resident of Ore Bed Road, in Hoosick Falls, New York, passed away peacefully following a brief illness.

Born in Rutland, Vermont on April 30, 1935, to the late Antoine and Luella (Collins) Greeno. Toni Received her education in the Pittsford schools and was a graduate of Pittsford high school. She later attended the Carnegie school of technology in Boston, MA.

Toni Married her husband of 41 years, Russell J. German on August 9, 1980 in Woodford, Vermont. In earlier years Toni was employed in the medical office of Dr.Woodhull Hall in Bennington and later at Connecticut Valley Regional Home Care in Newport, New Hampshire.

In the 1970's Toni served as a member of the Mt. Anthony Union School Board of Directors. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and fishing. She also especially enjoyed traveling with Russell to many destinations across North America, including The Grand Canyon, Nova Scotia, and Dawson City, Alaska. At times, they were over 5000 miles from home and they traveled often, including a trip to Alaska just over a month before her passing.

Survivors include her husband. Russell German of Hoosick Falls. Her three daughters, Marta Brennan of Westerly, Rhode Island, Debra Kennedy of Rutland, and Elaine Spika of Bennington; 8 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren; a brother, Robert Greeno of Sudbury, Vermont; two sisters, Sandra Ezzo of West Haven, Vermont, and Marie Carleton of San Antonio, Texas. Toni is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Toni is predeceased by a son; Gary Button.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Antoinette "Toni" German will be held in the spring of 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Hoosick.

At Toni's request there will be no visiting hours
