Anthony Guetti, 75, a former resident of Bennington, VT and current resident of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on April 9, 2023, in Florida. He was born on May 6, 1947, to the late Emelia (Dill) and Charles F. Guetti in Wincendon, MA. Anthony attended Bennington Catholic High School and received his high school diploma from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, MA graduating with the Class of 1966. Following his graduation, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army and served until being honorably discharged in 1972. He later attended Southern Vermont College. On November 5, 1983, Anthony married the former Nadine M. Hoag at her parents’ house on Park Street in Bennington, Vermont. Together they enjoyed spending time at their lake house on Cossayuna Lake and spent many winters being snowbirds before moving permanently to Florida in 2022. Anthony was employed for 22 years as the Director of Buildings and Grounds at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. After leaving the hospital, he spent a few years as a tractor-trailer driver before retiring. He enjoyed spending time playing golf, fishing, and hunting. Anthony had a great sense of humor and was able to add a joke into any conversation. He enjoyed spending his time looking for shells with his wife Nadine and visiting different beaches. He was a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge and AMVETS. Anthony is survived by his wife of over 39 years, Nadine, of Zephyrhills, FL; his daughter, Bethany Guetti (John Carlson) of Granville, NY; his 4 stepchildren; William Derosia (Poppy) of Amarillo, TX, Daniel Derosia (Phanna) of Greer, SC, Rebecca Gonzalez of White Plains, NY and Debra Derosia (Gene Guertin) of Shaftsbury, VT. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; Aaron, Christine, Vincent, Nadia, Ethan, Erik, Liliana, Liam and Ragnar and his three siblings; Stephen, Pamela and Charles “Chuck” Guetti. He was predeceased by two siblings, Curtis Guetti and Christine Fluery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart/St. Francis De Sales Church in Bennington on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service a Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Club Carriage Barn in Bennington.
