Anna Marie Charbonneau, 85, a longtime resident of Manchester, VT died peacefully Monday October 9, 2017 surrounded by her family at Equinox Terrace in Manchester.
She was born in Bennington, Vermont April 1, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Lemming) Markey. She was educated in the Manchester schools and was a graduate of Burr and Burton Seminary in 1950.
She married Joseph A. Charbonneau on September 10, 1955. Mr. Charbonneau died March 7, 2008.
In earlier years Anna worked as a dental hygienist. She later worked as a florist at both Dellwood Florists and Sunderland Gardens. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Manchester Thrift Shop in her later years.
She enjoyed family, fishing trips with her husband, bowling and had a passion for reading. She loved her beloved Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Survivors include her son, Joseph H. Charbonneau and his wife MaryFran Leone-Charbonneau of Manchester, VT, two grandsons, Austin Charbonneau and his wife Erin of Westford, MA and Aidan Charbonneau and his fiancé Autumn Bucchieri of Shaftsbury, VT.
Her nephews and nieces, Bruce Charbonneau, Penny Charbonneau, Chelsea Charbonneau and Richard Charbonneau and his wife BJ and their children Kelly (Dan), Danielle (Ian) and Amy. She was pre-deceased by brother Roger Markey who died January 4, 2014.
The funeral will be held at Christ Our Savior Roman Catholic Church in Manchester, VT on Saturday October 14, at 10:00 am. A reception will follow the Mass in the church hall.
The burial will take place in the family lot at Saint Columban's Cemetery in Arlington, VT.
