Andrew T. Sauer

BENNINGTON
Andrew T. Sauer, a resident of Gore Road, Bennington, died Sunday, May 28,
290017 at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Mineola, Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy
(Walsh) Sauer. Andy received his education in the Bennington schools. Following
high school, he served two years in the U. S. Navy.
Andy married the former Anna Harrison on April 24, 1959. Anna died March 13,
1980.
For many years Andy was employed at Energizer Corporation in Bennington. He
was also a longtime volunteer of the Bennington Rural Fire Department.
Survivors include five children, Andrew Sauer of Wildwood, FL, Kenneth of
Kissimmee, FL, Brenda Sauer of New York City, NY, Allen and Noreen (Sauer)
Yudichak of East Newark, NJ and Barry and Bridget (Sauer) Rader of Ludington,
Michigan; grandchildren Anna Yudichak, Matthew Dede Yudichak, Jacob Rader,
Nicholas Rader, Aubrie Sauer, and Ryan Sauer; and one great-grandchild, Magden
Yudichak; a brother, David Sauer of Bennington and many nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to his wife Andy was predeceased by a son, Walter Sauer, two
sisters, Joan Bump and Patricia Chase and three brothers, George, Charles and
James Sauer.
At Andy's request funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the
family.
