Alva Jeanne Patnaude (Patnaude)

BENNINGTON

Alva Jeanne Patnaude, 70, a resident of Merson Street, Bennington, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Bennington on January 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Frances (Woodward) Patnaude. She received her education at Sacred Heart School and was a 1966 graduate of Bennington Catholic High School.

In earlier years Alva was employed at Thompson Manufacturing Company. For many years Alva was employed as a licensed nurse's aide both at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation and later at Rivers Edge Community Care Home in Bennington.

Alva enjoyed time spent traveling with her two very special people; her niece Michelle and great niece Hannah, on trips to many various vacation spots including to the family camp in the Northeast Kingdom.

Survivors include her twin brother and sister-in-law, Armand and Jean Patnaude of North Bennington; a niece, Michelle (Tom) Weyers of Bennington; a nephew Armand "Hogie" (Karen) Patnaude of Rupert; a great-niece and great-nephew, Hannah Cross and Logan Patnaude and several cousins.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
