Alice Theresa Nicholson (Muller)

April 5, 1960 — February 4, 2020

Alice (Alison, JD) Theresa Nicholson, 59, of Jessup, Maryland, passed away, suddenly, at home, after a long illness, on February 4, 2020. She was born in Astoria, NYC, NY; April 5, 1960, to Peter and Dorothy Mae (Mercier) Muller. She grew up in her grandparents' home, with Alice and Harry Mercier, Manchester, VT., attending Burr & Burton Academy before moving away.

She spent over 20 years working with a local catch & release group, setting up and maintaining feral cat feeding stations and catching them for neutering; she adopted many strays. Central to her life was her love of all animals, especially cats. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, but thoroughly cherished her cats.

She leaves behind her husband, George, of 26 years; a brother, Peter Muller & a niece, Lily Muller, both of San Bernardino, CA.; her stepchildren, George of MD and Erica Jaen of SC.; an aunt, Elinor Hyjek of Shaftsbury, VT.; 3 grandchildren; 6 cousins and 9 cats.

As per the wishes of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services. A spring burial is planned at Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester, VT.

The family requests donations for funeral expenses, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
